Saintleo is a New York–based design and production studio operating at the intersection of metal, furniture, and spatial design.
Founded by Leon McKay after his studies of engineering in Melbourne, Australia, Saintleo took shape as an architectural project workshop in Auckland, New Zealand. Following Leon’s interests in music, art and architecture, Saintleo has since evolved into a studio for special projects, collaborations and limited-edition pieces, now based and operating in Brooklyn, New York. Each project reflects Leon’s visual language of design, detail and craftsmanship, combining an eclectic use of raw materials with a refined, contemporary sensibility.

Inspired by vintage Altec Lansing multi-cell horns, this credenza reinterprets classic loudspeaker geometry through contemporary sheet-metal construction. Fabricated from 8-gauge aluminium, the piece was developed entirely through CAD programming and executed via CNC laser cutting.
The original horn forms were deconstructed and reimagined as planar components. Each element was designed within a slot-fit, fixing-less system, allowing the unit to be assembled without visible fasteners. Once resolved digitally, the components were cut and assembled with precision.
The resulting form is a lightweight, architectural structure with a sense of transparency throughout. An open central section accommodates vinyl and books, while subtle curved profiles reference the proportions and rhythm of vintage multi-cell horns.
